The uniqueness of the program lies primarily in its multidisciplinary nature and in the systems-oriented approach to the scientific field it addresses: the electrification of propulsion in the transportation sector. This distinctive feature stems directly from the targeted applications, which are, by their very nature, rich and complex systems where multiple physical phenomena are often coupled. The program draws on the expertise of the SATIE and LMPS laboratories at ENS Paris-Saclay and IFPEN.
Our goal is to train specialists in hybridization for academic and R&D settings. Upon hiring, these specialists must have a thorough command of a specific disciplinary field (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and are introduced to the various other disciplines involved in a system as complex as a hybrid or electric vehicle. Through this training, we hope to enhance participants’ overall understanding of these systems and thereby improve the integration and optimization of the various components of hybrid vehicles.
