Preparing for the ENS Paris-Saclay degree

Admission au DER SIEN
CPGE : classe préparatoire grande école - L3 : licence 3 - M1 : master 1 - ASP : année spécifique de parcours - M2R : master 2 recherche.

Admission through competitive exams (written and oral)

Students admitted through this process are “Normaliens” and have the status of probationary civil servants. They prepare for the ENS Paris-Saclay diploma. They receive a stipend (approximately €1,500 net per month) during the four years of their program in exchange for a ten-year commitment to serve the French government.

Admission based on application materials and an interview

Students admitted through this pathway to the DER SIEN program come from CPGE tracks (PSI, PT, ATS...) as well as university tracks (including the BUT GEII and MP programs). Once admitted, they are assigned to the DER through which they were recruited and follow the same curriculum as students who passed the competitive exams with the status of “normalien” student. They are not probationary civil servants; however, they receive a scholarship of 600€/month.
